Who do I work with?

Coaching for Healthcare and Business Professionals and those seeking self-development

I enjoy working with a wide range of people and I welcome new experiences.

I generally work with:

Professionals (for example, doctors, healthcare managers, lawyers, psychologists, accountants, Human resource managers):

In doing transformative work with professionals such as doctors , healthcare managers, lawyers, accountants, psychologists. teachers/educators, coaches and HR professionals I bring over 20 years experience to my coaching work. I have an extensive understanding of professional occupations and am confident that I can quickly come to understand the important aspects of your own work and your professional sphere. In my experience, skilled professionals bring to their work a particular level of dedication, quality and commitment.

However, it is often the limiting thought patterns that can drive behaviours such as perfectionism, overwork and ultimately lead to burnout.

Together, we can work to realise that there are always other options open to explore. My own success as a professional has involved becoming aware of these thought patterns and learning how to harness them to move forward positively.

Business leaders/owners and entrepreneurs:

I like working with CEOs, leaders, executives and entrepreneurs, supporting them to improve their approach to their work, relationships and teams.

I bring to this work my extensive experience of running a successful small business and leading teams myself. I draw on my knowledge of organisational life and leadership training to help you move forward.

When working with business leaders, I particularly enjoy helping leaders to maximise their creativity, solve difficult problems and confidently tackle things they feel stuck with.

When working with entrepreneurs, I help my clients to identify and stick to realistic goals and time-frames and hold them accountable to themselves. I help them develop key self-management skills, gain confidence, and practice coping mechanisms for the tough aspects of going it alone.

Above all, I help them develop clarity about their project and critical thinking skills.

As work-life and personal-life are intertwined,  I find that the same patterns and issues come up in both. Hence coaching in business can lead to improvements in personal life.

People seeking personal/life coaching and self-development:

I very much enjoy working with individuals who wish to make the whole of their current life the subject of our coaching: family, friends, work, health, leisure and whatever else they feel is important.

I provide a safe, supportive, encouraging space in which you can explore strong feelings; your hopes and fears; your dreams and concerns. I can help you unlock things you may be stuck with. I can help you bravely tackle things you are avoiding – even things where you feel ‘I can’t even go there’. Often, I am able to help my clients recognise and avoid repeating coping mechanisms that no longer serve them well. This will allow them to break free from old, ‘stuck’ patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. This can be truly liberating!
