“And Alexander wept, seeing as he had no more worlds to conquer“.
“Alexander” is, of course, Alexander the Great, king of Macedon in the fourth century BC.
A legend in his own time.
Sadly he died in his early thirties having won many battles and after literally conquering the known world.
What has this got to do with you today? What can Alexander teach us?
Well not sure- you might say.
Could you be in a place that you feel you have “no more worlds to conquer”?
Have you worked up the promotion ladder and now you are not sure what to do next?
Is that next promotion your last?
Do you feel you have nowhere left to go with your career?
Could it also be that you have looked at all the options and do not like any of them?
This is what Alexander can teach us ?
It is never too late to reassess where you are and most importantly WHERE you want to be in the future.
Alexander, had a look around and then let his thought come in and that upset him.
What he did not do was actually have a think about what he would like to do next, Sadly he did not live to a ripe old age and so potentially did not have much time to ponder his next steps.
Are you like Alexander?
Filled with thoughts that are keeping you stuck or worse making you feel upset and unhappy in your work?
